Acting Training Institutes
There are plenty institutes which provide good training on acting. They have beautiful syllabus to help to master the craft. These institutes also helps to overcome nervousness and gain confidence. There are private institutes and government institutes across the country. Private institutes are bit expensive than government institutes.
Some government institutes: National School of Drama, Delhi / FTII, Pune
Theatre
Best thing about theatre, it is ocean of knowledge. No other medium can inform one actors performance than a live audience. Live audience reacts immediate. Apart from gaining knowledge and learning the craft, it also pays a salary or payment per show. Most of the reputed actors are from theatre also.
Modeling
Getting into modeling is easy. All you need is height. If you have 5.9 or 6 feet height, you are absolutely fit for modeling. Modeling teaches you the attitude. It also pays you handsome money. The money per show is equivalent to the 6 figure monthly salary. There are easily 10 to 15 shows in each month. One can decide in how many shows he or she want to participate.
There are actors who have been modeling for long time and then stepped into the film industry.
Auditions
Irrespective of training, one can participate in any number of auditions that take place across the city. Unfortunately there are bogus audition camp also run and they have main intention to make money from the strugglers. Don't pay a single penny to these people. Find out genuine spots and participate. The only tough part about auditions, there will be no call back if you are not selected. Thats the tough part. Strugglers spend day and night with a hope that the call from previous audition is going to come today but it wont happen so easily.
Apart from these there are plenty of failures around the city who would never do any struggle in a right way and wont let you do. So beware of such people, recognise and proceed accordingly.
The fact is the industry is not at all same as it used to be two or three years back. Since the digital platform entertainment opened, most of the production houses came up with their own digital channel. There is no lack of production. So it is the best right time to make the career.
The only secret that would pull you front among the competition is "Smart Work Not Hard Work".
